Through our Division, rural family doctors have a voice in identifying and developing strategies to meet health care needs at both local and provincial levels. In addition to our commitment to enhancing patient care, we are dedicated to supporting our members in optimizing their practices and enhancing work-life balance.
Long Beach Chapter is concerned with enhancing service to this fluctuating population of full-time residents, seasonal workers, and tourists and with meeting the needs of vulnerable and aging populations in the more remote areas. This includes a focus on Mental Health care, better and increased access to specialists and developing solutions to patient transportation needs. The chapter is particularly looking forward to collaborative partnerships with other health agencies as we develop a truly integrated primary care model.
